How sarahccornwell started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Mayfield Plant Company (or Co.)
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
"Curator of Fine Houseplants"
After the first few entrees, we're going to add some notes. We want a very original look to the design. Something more industrial, vintage then what would be excepted. Incorporating a leaf or plant into the design is not necessary, it seems to come across as too commercial or corporate.
We (will) sell plants, houseplants, plant services, and gifts online and a little offline (but not a permanent storefront). Houseplants are the focus. We want to break the stereotype of houseplants being boring, not-watered, slow-dying, plastic-looking plants that you picked up while in line at the hardware store. Plants are living, breathing things that create oxygen, they should be everywhere.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
A couple of things. It may look like we glossed over the values section and left a few unanswered. No, we really do think that this 50/50 feminine/masculine, complex/simple, young/mature, playful/serious.
We are very open to colors. We think no matter what color it was, we would be using a b/w version for tshirts etc. We want people to wear tshrts from the store without feeling like they are walking billboards. Think MILF (or MILF wannabe) in heathered gray tee with our logo and jeans, hair in ponytail.
