True Love Clothing
I'm a recent fashion grad starting up my own clothing line. I work as a pattern drafter for a small sportswear company, and while I love my job I don't have a lot of creative freedom. On my own time I design and create very unique clothing and I would like to take this to the next level and really start promoting my products. So its time for a professional logo!
My target audience are young hip women, between the ages of 20-30. Not really goth, but definitely "edgy". Artsy, fashionable, socially conscious.
I am looking for a logo to represent my clothing company. The official registered name of the company is True Love Clothing, however, for the purpose of the logo please only include the words "True Love".
The logo will be used on future business cards, hangtags, garment labels, etc.
I am looking for something that really stands out!
Essentially I want the logo to have an "old school tattoo" feel to it. Here is an example of something I was thinking of:

It is the first image on the photostream (the heart tattoo).
I just want to emphasize the old school tattoo idea, and if you need inspiration you can google "old school tattoo flash" to get a feel for the style.
However please do not let that limit you. It does not have to look like that at all. I am just trying to convey the tattoo idea. The logo should be very well executed.
As for colours, I lean towards greens, blues, and reds but I am very open to your creative interpretation in the colour department.
I would prefer the actual "True Love" text to be either in black or charcoal please. The graphic can be full colour. White background is preferred.
Please do not use clip art. I am looking for an original design.
Since I will be creating my own business cards, hangtags, and other promotional material, I will require the file to be in Illustrator format (.ai).
