MES was very responsive to my feedback and provided an excellent logo.
How Swim4Life started their logo design journey
The Hills (Swimming & Life Saving Club)
We are a community-based, non-profit swimming and life saving club. Our members are swimmers and life savers of all ages and abilities, representing the Club at local, state, national and international competitions. Our mission is to provide the community with the opportunity to practice and swim competitively; to teach and practice the skills of life saving; to promote swimming and assist participants to achieve their goals; to support our local swimmers and life savers to compete at State, National and International levels; and to create an atmosphere in which children will learn the value of embracing positive ideals and values. You can learn more about the Club at our website http://hillsswim.cibis.net.au.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The swimming and life saving communities and potential new members.
Our Club colours are royal blue and white, so we are after designs with these colours only. The logo will predominantly be used as white on royal blue, but should be able to be reversed for printed material. The logo will be used on uniforms (potentially swim caps), letterhead, promotional material, banners and our website. It doesn’t necessarily have to incorporate images/representations of hills, but we’re more than happy to consider designs that do. You could include a stylised or abstract swimming figure as part of your design, but please nothing too elaborate or detailed, think simplicity. Nothing cutesy or cartoony.
We need to be able to use “The Hills” part of the logo independently of the words “Swimming & Life Saving Club”, but this “tagline” will be used on letterhead and other printed material. We want people in the swimming and life saving world (and the outside world for that matter!) to instantly recognise our brand. We need to stand out in the stands! We want the team to feel part of the brand and to be proud of wearing the Club colours and name, and to be recognised as swimmers/life savers from The Hills.
