My wife is the dentist. She's sweet, caring, honest, open, direct and calls everybody "honey". I'm your hilarious crazy corny uncle who loves kids and says "pull my finger". The logo ought to be the perfect marriage between these two people.
Picture your design on business cards, stationary, and above a little dentist office in a strip mall next to Subway. Our practice is in sunny Frisco, Texas, USA. Please prioritize outdoor signage with highly visible colors, legible lettering and art that works in bright sun. Simpler is better.
I like metaphors and resonance and I think our target audience will: well-heeled, fairly young, sophisticated, and well-educated. Sweet Teeth suggests "sweet tea" (friendly, homey, southern welcome), "sweet tooth", and "that's a sweet ride, man". There are many ways to express “sweet” so be creative.
It would be great if one of the design elements in the logo were truly iconic, memorable, and evocative of our brand: sweet, gentle, mischievous, playful. Imagine that element as an app icon on your phone. Does it represent the brand *without* the Sweet Teeth text?
My advice is: when you finish your logo, show it to somebody. If they smile and say awwwww, you have a keeper. :-)
