About us
Our company produces the patent pending StyroPower PSD2000 machine. This product is specially designed for applications where transportation of STYROFOAM™ is not economical, practical, or where lingering odors and contaminants are present in the expanded polystyrene (e.g. organic matter from food containers). The process can achieve a volumetric waste reduction of up to 96%, dramatically reducing waste storage and traffic. The StyroPower PSD2000 simply reverses the manufacturing process of the material to be compacted by applying conductive heat to the EPS waste to convert it into a liquid resin that is cooled into a block. The PSD2000 uses conductive heat to melt and not burn the EPS waste. There are no pollutants released into our atmosphere. The PSD2000 does not employ any moving parts and is completely quiet when running. The machine can deal with contaminated waste and the resultant volume reduced block is completely ordorless. Our patent pending design reduces the time required to process the material to a little over 5 hours, about half the time of competing systems and without burning the material. The primary purchaser of our product are schools who use styrofoam trays to serve lunch.
