Jill of Some Trades got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Stylized Swiss Army Knife Logo for Jill of Some Trades

Not a business just yet. Just a blog at the moment. Basically I just go around taking classes and learning new skills. I'm all about being a generalist with no specialty.
Logo types to explore
My blog is about acquiring new skills and I think a Swiss Army Knife type design best represents what I'm trying to do. I'm a girl, but my site isn't specifically geared towards women and isn't abundantly girlie, so I'm not looking to make it specifically girlie. Tools that might work well based on classes I've taken would include a spatula, a screwdriver, a gun, a lasso, maybe a wrench or bow/arrow. I'm pretty much open to whatever. I'd like to include a corkscrew. Feel free to look at the growing to-do list on the right side my blog to get some ideas of what I'm doing/have done http://jillofsometrades.com I'm open to anything. While this is essentially for my blog, I'd like to put it on t-shirts at some point. Probably with the logo on the front and the website on the back. I think orange is a good twist on the regular red of the classic swiss army knife, but I'm open to other colors if you feel especially inspired. The idea of multifunctionality is key point here.
