I am a banjo player from Ireland with over 20 years of playing time. I am now living in New York and am launching my own music events company.
The name of the company, Moakland comes from a place in North Tipperary Ireland where my father was from. He was a well known musician in the area and his music was passed down to him from generation to generation. He has recently passed away and my decision to start this company is a tribute to him and his music.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Most of the musicians I work with are well known for their traditional Irish music talents so our target audience will be Irish-Americans although we will be delving into other musical genres as well. Our markets will include weddings (cocktail hours, church, and/or reception), funerals, corporate events, political events, christenings, bar sessions, & parties.
*The acronym for the company is MME and I would like this incorporated into the logo but with the full name: "Moakland Music Events" and the tag line: "Music That ReMinds You" underneath the logo (the "Re" in reminds should be italicized) .
*I want the logo to be some type of circular celtic symbol with a music staff through it and the letters MME on the staff.
*I'd like to see how the lines in the M's would look if they were made into musical notes. So the line on the M's could be uneven as if depicting notes. *Then perhaps throw some random music notes after the MME.
*The colors I will be using for my company and website will be black silver gold green. So these colors should be incorporated.
*The logo should be sleek, professional and expensive looking. Nothing cartoonish or too busy and definately no cheesy stereotypical Irish stuff.
*I will be using this for all advertising: web logo, business cards, marketing materials, contracts, etc.
I trust that you are all the experts so yes your creative input is definately welcome.
I've attached a file just to give you an idea of the how the middle note on the music staff can be turned into an M.
Good Luck to all!
