Battlestox
Battlestox is a small startup by a Dutchie and an English guy. We are building a cool and social fantasy stock trading game which you play by yourself or against your friends. The aim is to make stock trading fun and exciting similar to (for example) online poker games. Battlestox is a stand-alone website but will tap into social networks (updates on games, winnings / purchases of friends, etc).
1. Young, career-minded, male/females, 25-32. Low-mid income. Interested to learn and curious about the stock-market, but not experienced enough to invest for real. Potentially interested to trade for real in the future Social media followers and keen to out-play friends.
2. (University tutors) & students, male/females, 18-24. Low-income. Interested to learn how the stock market functions. Not interested to put money into paid games. Excited by social media platforms and comparing performance to class mates.
It should be as fun and easy-to-use as services like Basecamp, Getsatisfaction or Facebook. The focus on the application will be more about playing `games` (online poker style) than the technical aspect of stock trading.
The logo should be fresh and fun (not aggressive -no handgrenades, tanks or explosions please- nor of a corporate trading style). We'd like to emphasize on healthy competition over destructive tendancies ;)
The logo itself should be able to stand alone without the brand name.
We would like the designer to use mostly primary colours. This colour palette will also be (re)used in the application design.
Feel free to be as creative as you can be. We are looking forward to any ideas!
