Who are you known as?
Four Brothers Distilling Company
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My three brothers and I own and operate the smallest legal distillery in the United States. We focus on very small batch production of handmade whiskies, crafted using the finest grains, water, and distilling techniques. While our distillery is based in the Catskills (Upstate New York), the majority of our customers are in New York City. We are looking for a logo that captures both our country/artisanal and urban NYC roots. We are whiskey fanatics, and we also want our logo to communicate our passion for our products.

We want the logo to work well on an artisanal whiskey sampler box similar to the one in the attached image. The logo will also need to work well on each of the individual tubes.
Our target customers (mostly men, ages 25 and up) need to see the logo and immediately understand our authenticity and premium quality.
While the logo will be used on the box and tubes, it will also be used on our website and all of our merchandise.
We are developing a luxury line of products that we hope to turn into a lifestyle brand.
We want to balance whiskey roots artisanal premium and metro high-energy youthful premium -- we don't want this to feel stodgy, like an old man in a leather chair smoking a cigar.
We are four literal brothers, four dudes who are comfortable everywhere from the slums of Jakarta to the fashion runways of Milan to Ironman triathlons to the mountains of Kathmandu. We are the city. We are the country. We are the New Face of Whiskey.
There must be a way to balance all of these components in a compelling logo -- the same way that we will take whiskey and make it youthful, fun, and exciting.
The slogan we are developing is: "Life, liberty and the pursuit of the world's best whiskey." This does not need to be used, it is just an idea that captures our attitude.
