San Anselmo is the birthplace of STAR WARS. The town square boasts a statue of Yoda christened by none other than George Lucas. If Yoda appears he should be in the background or hidden in the “Where’s Waldo” fashion. My students all love Schrodinger's cat so perhaps a cat could be hidden in the artwork or seen in the background.
I really like the style of the comet, planets and stars from the Astronomical Society of Harrisburg logo. It has a sort of elemental look; earth, wind, fire, water. I think that’s very effective. I also like the way the lettering is integrated into the design.
I like the “R is for Rocket” artwork for it’s sense of youth, wonder, mystery and adventure. All are elements that I’d like incorporated for this project. But I don’t know if it can be transformed into an astronomy club logo.
I just discovered and uploaded an image of Stonehenge. I’d be thrilled if anyone could work something like that into the design.
