Sports team logo for a sport-oriented family

Family's sports teams like Hockey, Basketball etc Think of it as a family crest, but more in line with sports logos!

Primary colors: Red + Gold/yellow + White, but black is our background/accents The gold could be exchanged for white if it causes too many issues.

We are open to ideas but really it could be as simple as an L logo with "Laflamme" name somewhere, like the NHL Kraken Seattle Hockey team log. Instead of an L, it can be a logo of the face of our grandfather. Our "sign/icon" could be a flame or fire of some sort, Laflamme means "The Flame" so you can have the L with fire accents with it or behind/around it. Open to ideas. This will be used as a sports logo but also to some degree as a family crest - so it should feel somewhat mature so we can use it on our other non-sporty ventures if required. I have included 2 pictures of our grandfather in case you want to play around by adding a character, but I understand this could get complicated and get "busy" for a logo so that is 100% optional! Please see attached a sample of our hockey team design jersey color scheme - it currently has a red background but we could change it if necessary if it has color clashing. It is based on team Canada hockey jersey - if you need more inspiration. I’m open to ideas on the type of logo that’s best to make our family happy!
