The Gocan School of Dance offers instruction on Highland Dancing to those children ages 2 1/2 through to adults. The target audience is mainly children. Highland dancing is a traditional form of dance dating back to the nineteenth century in Scotland. Highland dancing is heavily influenced by Ballet, and is an extremely athletic form of dance.

There is an art to teaching highland dance. Through the love and passion I have for dancing, I strive to teach and develop innovative teaching methods that maintain essential qualities in highland dancing. Highland dancing requires grace, beauty, strength and unbelievable precision in technical footwork. I am looking for something unique and sophisticated in terms of design. Simple and elegant is my style. The key is trying to come up with an original design that is different from all other logos/studios. The one image I attached is the world highland dancing championships logo. There is are two images of two tartans - I currently wear the red dress macgregor and my daughter (who is 5) wears the royal blue dress macgregor - we both dance and compete. Other images include World Highland Dancing Champions and runner-ups, other studio logos and images just to give you an idea about the dancing. I have included one photo of my daughter and I - I am in the red kilt with a trophy. The other photo has my daughter dressed in blue kilt and I am standing behind her in the purple blouse. I have included lots of images to give you an idea of what has been done for logos. The logo will be used for studio jackets/warm up suits. I am located in Ontario, Canada. I am a passionate teacher who demonstrates enthusiasm and quality teaching, thus I would like a logo that is cutting edge.
