I am a photographer in Boston, MA. Slow Your Roll Studios is my personal project to photograph the city's up-and-coming young jazz artists.
My photographic vision strives for images that are cosmopolitan and sophisticated, but that are first and foremost clean and uncluttered. I would like a brand identity that reflects those values and that through its simplicity and cleanliness, looks timeless while still being decidedly modern.

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My desired audience is first and foremost young jazz musicians. My goal is to have a branded identity that speaks to the tone of my work and that speaks to my photographic vision, as described above. My hope is that, in seeing my logo/brand, jazz musicians see a bit of their own artistic style in the logo - cool, but clean - modern and hip, but an element of timelessness.
My audience is also likely to include record companies, recording studios, public relations firms, and other organizations associated with music production. In keeping with the above, the brand needs to be sophisticated and appropriate for corporate consumption, but yet still cool and hip.
I am looking for a logo that will be flexible enough to be used as the header image on a portfolio website, on a blog, on business cards and stationary, etc.
In general, when looking at others' logos, I find that a mix of various shades of gray against a white background is attractive, clean, and simple. I also find myself drawn to the clean, modern look of sans-serif fonts in all lowercase. Clever use of items to separate words (etc. pipes, as in "slow | your | roll studios") can also be interesting in my opinion.
Please don't take any of the above as being a strict requirement. It is intended first and foremost as inspiration and as a means of giving you a better sense of my own sensibilities.
