How Summit.Properties started their logo design journey
Summit Properties / Summit Hotel Management
We are the developer and hotel operator of a premium hotel / condominium development in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. The resort gets 15+ meters of snow a year and the site is located at the top of the village with piste on 3 sides. The resort contains 450 beds plus restaurants, cafe, bar, ski concierge, ski rental, spa (Japanese onsen) and sets a new standard of quality and service across ski resort developments in Asia.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Real estate investors and hotel guests (mainly skiers from Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Taiwan), construction industry, service providers and suppliers to hotels, government regulators.
The hotel itself has already been branded. From this competition we are seeking one logo to use for both the real estate development company Summit Properties as well as for the hotel management company Summit Hotel Management.
The logo should include the word "Summit", should be a solid logo (no gradients) on white background, easily adaptable to use in a variety of stationery such as letterhead, name card, email footers and website. Colors are fine.
The area is famous for a volcano called Mt Yotei, a perfectly formed conical volcano that towers over Niseko. The logo might incorporate this in some way but it is not a requirement at all. There is no need for the logo to have a Japanese flavor.
The logo needs to portray a sense of strength and stability befitting a 5-star hotel developer/operator.
To be provided in a variety of file formats hi-res and low-res.
