Skeptive.com is a brand new web company offering a unique service: we tell you whether what you're reading on the internet is true or false. We will offer a plug-in that checks the website that you're reading. If there's something on the site that's false, the plug-in flags that sentence. Sort of a lie detector for the internet.
We will be launching this summer. If we like what we see, there may be a lot more work where this came from!
We want to make this easy to use -- friendly, unintimidating, straightforward, simple, not a lot of noise. Your grandmother should be able to use it. We also want it to come across as reliable and safe -- not boring, but not complicated. What you see is what you get.
We are looking for a logo -- maybe a typographic treatment, or something very simple and elegant. Probably no photographs or busy pictures.
One idea that we came up with was combining an S with a question mark (see attached file below). Feel free to incorporate the idea, or discard it as you see fit. I'd like to see at least a couple of entries using this theme, though.
We don't have any fixed ideas about colors, so feel free to experiment. On the site, there are very small amounts of color, in which red/orange denotes untrustworthy or false, and green denotes trustworthy. These colors need not be in your design though; the site is a blank slate.
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
