Website Marketing Guru
We are looking for a "web 2.0" style logo for a website that teaches website marketing.
The website will be clear, simple and easy to use - much like the 99 Designs website. In fact, the 99 Designs logo is a good example!
The style of the website will be cool and professional NOT "corporate", fancy, stuffy or technical.
Small/medium "self-starter" business owners that want to increase the traffic to their website and the enquiries or business they receive.
Examples could include:
-- Interior Designers
-- Nursery Schools
-- Tax Advisors
-- etc.
We are looking for a logo that is quite simple and easy to read and understand with a quick glance.
We're thinking of a logo that includes the words "Website Marketing Guru" (upper, lower or mixed case is fine) and some kind of symbol.
We're not really looking for a full "brand" but the logo could be included on emails, websites, banners, etc so versatility is a bonus. Some idea of a related color scheme would be good. We are keen to use a simple bold color scheme throughout the website and the logo.
We haven't created the website, so can use any colors you suggest.
CONSIDERATIONS:
-- Ability to work on light and dark backgrounds would be a bonus
-- You could include some sort of "character" in the logo (the "guru"). Either full body or just a head
-- We prefer "cool and funky" rather than elegant or fancy.
-- The "guru" character is just a cool guy that's great at marketing that likes to help people get their sites noticed. He's not aloof, posh or rude.
EXAMPLES:
Here are some logos we like:

FILES:
We need a print-ready file (e.g. Illustrator) CMYK as well as web-ready files (jpeg and layered PSD as appropriate).
ADDITIONAL WORK:
We have a lot of similar related work (for this project and also new projects) that we will need completed so good work on this project will probably lead to a lot of ongoing projects.
