Our slogan is "Practical Advice from Upstart Expats in China" - but this shouldn't be included in the logo. We're a podcast (that may one day become a book) that'll offer big picture and practical advice on how to succeed and live better in China. We're a small group of experienced expats who've gotten a fair bit of success starting businesses in China. We're aiming for our podcasts to be useful and funny. A lot of what we're going to suggest goes against traditional advice for living in China.
In general we want to AVOID traditional Chinese imagery - like calligraphy, peasant hats, rickshaws and the like; unless the the designer can turn it into something funny or modern. We like funny, and we're not overly sensitive. China is VERY modern. So we're looking for something modern that can also somehow show something from Mainland China, like a Shanghai skyline, big crowds of people, etc.
We're targeting expats who live in China - foreigners who are either teachers (most of them) or white-collar engineers and project managers from all over the world who work in China's massive manfacturing economy. We're trying to avoid button-down staid advice and imagery.
Below, we've chosen "Communications" are our industry, but right now we're basically just going to be a podcast.
