The name of the restaurant is RUGGLES CAFE. This is a high-end cafe type restaurant. We are located in an incredibly quaint downtown and have an environment with fireplaces, distressed artwork, cultured stone pillars and maple tables. We consider the atmosphere to be classy casual. Our restaurant is partnered with one of the top culinary chefs in the country with whom owns other similar restaurants in the Metro Detroit area called Deli Unique. We serve FAT portion sandwiches, bread from our own bakery, lobster reubens, organic beef, savory soups, and portions that are sizeable but don't cost more than the average place. We also have cocktails for someone who may want a beer or drink with their meal. We compete with other restaurants on Main Street in a historic village like downtown and want to appear inviting, family friendly, yet quality and cool! The staff will wear golf style polo shirts to convey quality but not stuffy. We will have open air windows for warm weather and an outdoor patio in the summer months. This town is all about people, generosity, friendly smiles, and longevity. Surrounding our building are waterfalls, ponds, and train tracks in addition to being located directly on Main Street on the corner of a brick building. The colors include metallics, deep brown/purples, stone and grey. The buildings in downtown are like old village two story buildings from the horse drawn era.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Professionals, families, lunch crowd, high quality breakfast crowd for weekends, people who are looking for a place to let down and relax, people who want a good destination restaurant in a great small downtown to hang out in and relax, people who want high quality food and portions, but not high prices, yet are willing to pay a little more for items like lobster sandwiches. We are located in the same building, three doors down from Starbucks. The type of people who buy a $4 and up coffee are our best customer.
We do not like scripty fonts. We are looking for a logo for our business that will become our recognizable image. This will be our sign for people driving by, our logo for our shirts, and all printed material. Therefore, it must be noticeable on the face of the building for traffic driving by. We also may use the "logo" part of the sign to put on a hanging medium sign off the front of the building in addition to the name sign over Main Street. We would like a logo, symbol, whatever that we can use to brand the restaurant and becomes recognizable in the community as our place. We are open to all ideas. Anything cartoony is not desired. WE WILL BE MAKING A DECISION BY DECEMBER 16, 2010.
