We are overjoyed with the results of our logo contest. una.design offered creative uses of the logo that could really help us visualize the final product on our website and printed materials. The wallpaper she provided was a genius idea and something we did not ask for, but so glad she offered up. She has a great eye for design and brought us something original, modern and sophisticated. We can't wait to start branding things!
How jaya_d started their logo design journey
I'm a developer and mom with two young (2 and 6) kids. I'm currently based in Stanford, California, USA. I've found it hard to keep in touch with my family by updating them about our family and children.
I'm building a platform that is similar to Facebook in many ways for communication within a close group- it can be private (between the spouses), among the relatives or between family friends. We will build a website as well as an iPhone App for parents to easily preserve and share information - text updates, pictures and videos.
The platform will be used for sharing updates with closed friends as well as for preserving and sharing special moments of children as they are growing up.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target customers are mostly going to be parents with children between the ages 0 - 10 years of age anywhere in the world. Our initial customers will be based off US, India and other English speaking countries.
The design should be very creative with something deep in it that ties into the theme of the product.
For example, it's very lame to just have a logo with 4 people icons representing a family. I like the logos which indicate the long term vision of the company.
I like intricate designs like the evernote style that has nested elephants in it.
