mockba00 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Sexy+Empowered, Smart+Snarky, Assertive+Sophisticated Goddess-like Logo Design Needed for Premium Lifestyle Beverage
Check out mockba00's Logo design contest…
Drinking, evolved. (Using this slogan is optional/at artist's discretion)
Food & Drink
Eviver is drinking, evolved. Our premium beverage is more than a drink, it’s a lifestyle! Made with organic fruit juices and herbs, plus other superior quality ingredients, Eviver replenishes what your body loses during the course of a night of drinking alcohol, as well as offering quicker recovery after a workout and other strenuous exercise. Eviver will be marketed to the “work hard, play/party hard” demographic, who wishes to be more productive and not have to pay the price normally associated with their demanding lifestyle.
Other color requirements
Let designers make suggestions, HOWEVER: The beverage has a dark red color, and we plan to use see-through stickers or engraving. Therefore, our logo should not be overly cluttered/complex and should complement the drink’s rich color and not be lost against against it. See the images below of the bottle we are currently using (Eviver Double Vision) and the bottle we are planning to use for future production (Drop Bottle). Greens and pastels should not feature prominently except as design accents, e.g. leaves and stems of fruits, although we have seen some green dragons*** we liked! Designs we have seen and liked incorporated rich reds and golds or golden yellows
Our logo should be equally eye-catching in both horizontal and vertical formats, appeal equally to women and men buyers, and should stand out from others in the highly crowded beverage class. It should include a figure of a modern, goddess-like figure or silhouette with a wry and knowing smile, who appears both sexy and empowered. She is smart, yet snarky - classic, yet a bit rebellious. She's assertive, though in a sophisticated way. She should be clearly 100% human, though with a mythical spirit. (If she belonged to a class in Dungeons and Dragons, she would be Chaotic Good.) Her figure should not face the viewer head on, but rather slightly turned, in profile, or from the back with her head cocked towards or over her shoulder. (Just) above her (outstretched) hand is a small dragon, and she is glancing or looking directly at the dragon***, whose eyes are slightly above hers. On one of her upper arms (if bare) is a spiral golden armlet, and perhaps with a golden cuff-like bracelet on the wrist as well. The goddess image should be clearly an adult (NOT a girl) and contain either her whole body or her face and upper torso, please. She is modestly dressed as well, surrounded by a ring of fire is (probably) coming from the dragon's mouth. And the goddess should definitely not have oversized breasts. ***The dragon should appear mythical as well, not a Pokemon-cutesy dragon. Submissions should not mimic other beverage’s female icons, e.g. the Mercy angel, an Original Sin pin-up, or White Rock’s Psyche, nor should they be too similar to comic book/movie heroines, e.g. they SHOULDN'T look like Disney's The Little Mermaid and DEFINITELY not like Gothic steel maidens from the cover of Heavy Metal magazine. Our goddess is also our silent spokeswoman. As an organic, natural product, our goddess must be NATURALLY radiant! That means that she does not wear (visible) makeup, and she therefore she would NOT wear (or appear to have on) lip gloss, mascara, hair spray, or anything else that makes her looks like she just walked out of the cosmetologist ;) Take a step back, then another. Some of the accents on the designs we've seen are too subtle to be seen from a distance. If you can't see them from three feet away, they certainly won't be seen by consumers looking at our product on the shelf. Please take this into account provide enough contrast so that your design nuances can be seen. Possible artistic inspirations for you can be seen in six images below from Alphonse Mucha to Shepard Fairey, alongside a picture of our current beverage, the bottle we are planning on using in future production, and our current basic label. If these images seem “a bit much,” please take the design elements that speak to you, and create a clean and crisp, original and detailed composition of your own creation. Before getting started, please note: 1) Designers must be fluent in conversational and written English. 2) We will not pay stock art charges, nor will we respond to requests to work offline or outside the parameters of the contest while it is running. 3) All finalist designs will be run through tineye.com and Reverse Google Image search to verify originality. 4) The first E in the word “Eviver” should be in the form of the Greek letter Epsilon in lunate form or the Cyrillic letter Ukrainian Ye: Є. An example of our current label can also been found below with the aforementioned variation, creating using a combination of Alba and Righteous fonts. FYI, these fonts were sourced from http://www.1001freefonts.com . 5) In wishes with designers, we have changed the parameters and reopened the contest on May 18 as blind. At the suggestion of 99designs, we have only recently guaranteed the prize once we saw designs which REALLY captured our team's vision. Thanks so much for your attention and consideration - good luck! -- The Eviver Team
