Sewing.net.au
Our client owns a sewing shop in Beenleigh (QLD, Australia). She has over 40 years experience in sewing, quilting and teaching.
The shop in Beenleigh sells everything to do with sewing; Machines, Threads, Fabrics, Patterns, Quilting Supplies, Tools and offers daily classes to over 100 regular weekly students.
With all her experience our client is forever showing people the easy way to do things and always puts her class first. No matter how people print patterns, projects or describe techniques necessary to complete a sewing task - she has found that she offers easier and more efficient solutions to ladies of any skillset. It is this knowledge and teaching ability that we are trying to transfer into the online realm so it is available to the masses, rather than just the students who can come the small shop in Beenleigh.
We have discussed in depth about setting up an online store that allows people to purchase everything she has in the shop, however, it seems most people can either get this stuff from their local sewing goods store. It was at this discovery that we decided to focus on her experience, and to setup a blog so she (and her classmates) can share the current projects they are working on, and any hints and tips that pop up during the course of the day.
80% Female, 20% Male.
With no current brand or supporting material to date, we're looking for a clean but clever logo that encompassed the domain name - Sewing.net.au.
Our clients favorite colors are light pinks and light greens, and the site will include some quilts that use these tones.
Because our focus is more on 'learning' and actually 'sewing' rather than the purchase of sewing equipment, it would be great if the logo incorporated that element somehow.
With that said, we're using 99designs for the first time and all concepts will be considered - so feel free to have some fun with it!
Thanks to all who participate!
