Sacred Seedlings: Indigenous People Healing The Earth
Indigenous People Healing The Earth
Sacred Seedlings is a reforestation and carbon offset program developed by indigenous people around the globe. Native people -- from the Aborigines and Apache to the Zulu and Zuni – are harvesting seeds from trees and flowers for a massive global replanting program.
After harvesting the seeds, they are blessed in sacred ceremonies by local tribal leaders. The seeds are then used in several ways:
• Planted and nurtured into seedlings which are planted locally by native people as part of sponsored carbon offset programs. These reforestation efforts will create jobs, which will help preserve these forests for the benefit of people and wildlife.
• Sold and shipped around the world to individuals and organizations who want to plant them in their communities, yards, and along highways and roads.
• Planted and nurtured into seedlings for local resale.
Those who have always lived closest to the earth, and respected it the most, are putting their expertise and passion to work to help save it for future generations. To find out how you can help, visit http://www.SacredSeedlings.com
