I really enjoyed working with hytierart! They were extremely responsive to my suggestions and for each change, offered a number of different examples that I could choose from. I couldn't be happier. Thank you, so much!

How dorrainestanley started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
West Point Lake
What’s your company slogan?
Fun. Just Add Water. -- In Season Every Season. (Not sure if I want to include this slogan, as I'm not even sure if I'm going to stick with this slogan. I'm open to suggestions if you don't like this slogan. Also, you don't necessary have to use the slogan in the logo. I'm not sure of anything at this point!!!)
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
26,000-acre lake on the Chattahoochee River for tourists and locals, running 35 miles along the Georgia-Alabama line. County population is around 70,000, but still considered a small town and country living. There are no mountains at this lake.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

I don't think I want any images in the logo. Not sure though. I prefer the rustic, distressed paint look, I think. I'm not sure what shape I prefer, whether round or square. LOL. Sorry for being so vague. I know what I like and don't like when I see it, but I'm really having a hard time trying to visualize something to relay to you. Prefer simple design. Not a busy look, because I want it visually clear on t-ships, coffee mugs, etc, from a distance. Our lake is not very populated with lake homes. It's sort of a quiet place, which is why it's well known for it's great fishing. Bass Masters was hosted here, as well as the Powerboat Grand Prix races. We have the usual water recreational sports, but we are trying to promote the serenity of the lake, such as the flat water kayaking, hiking trails, camping, and bird watching. So I don't want to focus on any one particular image within the logo, which is why I'm opting for words only. Heck, I'm not sure about that either. I just can't visualize what my options would be. Give me some direction!!!
