We need a new logo for the Australasian Neuroscience Society (ANS).
The ANS is a non-profit organisation of Australian scientists and physicians who study the brain and nervous system and are actively involved in research, teaching and clinical care.
The ANS was founded in 1971 and is recognised as the peak neuroscience body in Australia and New Zealand, one which works closely with a variety of stakeholders who are specialists in relevant fields such as neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, psychology and developmental biology, as well as clinicians, government and industry.
We want to present a united voice for neuroscience research and related clinical and scientific sub-specialties.
As well, the ANS strongly supports its student members and welcomes the establishment this year of a separate ANS student body.
It is time to revolutionise the ANS logo reflecting its wide relevance to the community. Its new logo should be easily recognisable and reflect the ANS’s new strategic position as the peak reference body for neuroscience.
