Secure, trustworthy, conservative, altruistic, no fear of buyer's remorse. More serious tone

- Do you imagine the logo being a mark, illustration based, custom type treatment, etc.
Leaning towards illustration based. Something that we can put a top corner of a business card, put on a golf shirt and website. Nothing childish. Okay with logo mark as well.

- Are you looking for just the logo or a full brand identity? The brand identity consist of a distinct color palette, typeface, visual language (how the brand translate to other applications), etc.
Just logo. The goal is to accentuate and reinforce our core principles--rather than define the company

- Can you put together 5 examples of logos/brands that you think are strong and a benchmark for your logo ? (i.e. Apple, Greensmith, Adobe, etc.) --

Not for their actual logo's; for what they stand for and the emotions they invoke.

FYI Revere Energy Group Can be shortened to just Revere Energy if that works better.

A little more background information. We would like to position ourselves, favorably, against bigger solar companies. We want our customer's to understand that we are different than Big Solar. We are more focused on doing what best suits the consumer and consequentially are willing to take less profit. We can also be more competitive on price because we have less overhead, don't have competition deals with the utility companies and quite frankly aren't out of profit alone.
Conversely, we are just as invested in creating a renewable energy revolution and help consumers move away from dirty coal and gas and ultimately save our planet. Additionally, although our focus initially will be solar, we will also sell and develop other forms of renewable energy.

In reference to the image attached. Perhaps paul revere is holding a lantern? Initially thought to have light beams but we will not only develop solar, but wind and other renewable energy sources
