Community & Non-Profit
No Means No Worldwide (NMNW) is an international sexual violence prevention nonprofit organization whose mission is to end sexual and gender-based violence against women and children globally. NMNW trains instructors in high-risk environments to deliver the proven No Means No sexual and gender-based violence prevention curricula to girls and boys ages 10-20. Through the program, girls increase their skills in assertiveness, boundary setting, and understanding of their rights, and develop the verbal and physical skills to defend themselves in an attack. Boys increase their gender equitable attitudes, learn skills to defend equality, avoid violence, ask for consent, and intervene when witnessing or anticipating sexual assault. NMNW also works to increase girls' and boys’ disclosure of experiences of sexual violence and provide referrals for comprehensive support.

We are looking for a "refresh" of our logo but not necessarily a whole new "feel". We want to keep the name of the organization, and we are interested in keeping some type of globe imagery, but any globe imagery should have Africa as the center as that is the primary continent where we work - although we are expanding elsewhere and want to emphasize the global nature of our work. The nature of our work is very serious, so we don't want anything too playful. However the audiences that we work with are adolescents and young adults, so it should also not be incredibly stuffy. We're unsure on if we want to keep our current color ("faux cobalt blue" which is Hex #353b7f, also referred to as "brand blue" in the attached identity guide) or if we want to switch to a teal color (Hex: #008080) which is the color most associated with sexual violence awareness. The challenge with teal is that another organization, No More, uses it: https://nomore.org/take-action/toolkit/. They aren't a direct competitor but we don't want to create confusion. So we're open to the same current color scheme or trying teal or maybe the current with a teal accent, or versions of one logo in either color. The biggest thing we don't like about our current logo is the rays coming off the globe, and the tagline; we're also looking to see if there's anything we can incorporate that speaks more to our work. We're going to roll out a new tagline, "Ending Sexual Violence". We want a logo that we can add that to easily if we want a version with a tagline.
