REDDE is a full service safety equipment and training start-up company with a mission to create a culture of safety in New England fisheries. We install, inspect, and service all safety related equipment on fishing vessels including life rafts, EPIRBs, flare kits, fire extinguishers, immersion suits, first aid kits, and more. We provide training in CPR, first aid, fire fighting, and safety drill conducting to captains and crew. Are you REDDE? Business partners Josh and Pat come from maritime backgrounds, and recognized a need in the commercial fishing fleet for improved safety at sea. Every commercial fisherman operating in the northeast United States is required to have a certain set of safety equipment onboard. This equipment must be well maintained, and with proper training and handling, could save someone's life. However, many mariners treat the equipment as another regulatory requirement rather than an essential piece of the vessel’s operation. REDDE aims to change that mentality by offering a full service system that incentivizes and encourages mariners to keep their equipment up to date, become knowledgeable and comfortable with its operation, and view it as an essential function of the vessel’s daily operations.

We like clean, simple designs that would cleverly incorporate a piece of safety equipment into the logo. We would like a logo symbol that can be used by itself, independent of text, as well as included with the text in the full version. Examples of media would be clothing, hats, truck and van wraps, stickers, business cards, and signs. We sketched an example with a flare and sparks in chartreuse green and black. Feel free to refine this idea or come up with something completely new.
