Food & Drink
We are a small, family owned and operated vineyard and winery located on the western slope of Colorado. We are a bit more experimental than most wineries in that we take risks with different flavors and methods to produce recognizable wines with unique twists. Competitor wineries in our area are far more traditional. Therefore we're looking for a logo to convey a "winery with an attitude". While our target audience skews younger (21-35) we need the logo to remain appealing to an older demographic as well. The logo will be used in many formats from wine labels/corks to t-shirts, signage, and professional materials as well.
Logo types to explore
It is important that the logo looks good in both full color and black and white. We would also hope to have a logo that is embroidery friendly. We want logo options that would allow the design to look the same whether applied to white paper, a clear bottle, or embroidered. Since the name of our vineyard is Red Fox, we would love to see designs that incorporate a fox in the logo. As far as additional design elements to consider, our area of Colorado has a few unique identifiers that draw a lot of tourists and that would be easily recognizable if represented graphically. 1. We are surround by Mesas. The most famous of which is Mt. Garfield which I have attached a photo of below. 2. Our area (Grand Junction) is named after the junction of 2 large rivers: The Colorado and Gunnison rivers. 3. Our region of Colorado is protected from cold by a warm wind that filters through a nearby canyon and keeps our climate temperate in relation to the rest of Colorado. By no means should you feel that you have to include all of the above, I just wanted to include some identifiers that might work as additional graphic elements for a border/text etc. Stylistically, we really like logos that incorporate a style similar to the cartoon-like "nose-art". If unfamiliar with nose art, it is a logo that pilots painted on the nose of their aircraft to identify them throughout world war II. Thanks everyone for reading. Happy New Year!
