Dino is awesome to work with and has a crazy good work ethic. I went back to him with several different changes and he helped make vision become a reality. He helped me through every step of this process as this was my first time using 99 designs. I can't say enough good things about Dino and look forward to working together on future projects.
How cast7326 started their logo design journey
Salsa Dance Gear
I am an avid salsa dancer. I travel all over the country to take classes, workshops and attend socials where thousands are in attendance and ALL of us love salsa and think about it night and day. My company is Salsa Dance Gear, an e-commerce store for salsa dancers to purchase shoes, t-shirts, dvds, and accessories.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This logo should portray a few things. It should be elegant and at the same time have some street, hip hop type influence.
Elegant - This is what a lot of salsa dancers view the 'scene' as. Ballroom dancing, nice dresses, classy attire, etc. This is the traditional view of salsa. Here is a youtube video with more formal dancing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u65A…re=related
Hip hop/street - There are also many dancers (like myself) that view the 'scene' as more informal, street, just having fun, casual time. Wearing converse old school sneakers and jeans. Here is a youtube video with these more informal dancers - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3AV_GIDADA
The logo needs to contain the words “Salsa Dance Gear”. You can decide whether it needs to be capitalized, the font stylized, whether it needs different colours or any additional small graphics (people dancing, etc), but keep it relatively simple. The logo needs to look good when placed on the web site and it will also be used in printed materials, online documentation, banners, envelopes and letterheads.
We prefer the colour scheme to contain at least red (but it doesn’t have to be limited to that).
