Public Speaker logo design

Looking for a modern fresh logo that works well with off color red and white but this is not set in stone. Brighter, exuberant colors may be more desired but even though we specify some colors, do not be afraid to step out a bit as we do not know fully what we are looking for. The company name is Andrew Valentine Pool and the main domain is AVPCPE.com. It stands for the owner’s (chief instructors) name Andrew Valentine Pool and the CPE means continuing professional education. Most attendees to the courses offered are U.S. registered Certified Public Accountants. He has studied both in the U.S. and in England and his background strength is macroeconomic studies so his courses are not only informative and captivating but also delivered in a professional manner.

This new company is looking for a clean modern logo. Nothing cartoonish.
There is no design to fit into and suggestions for taglines are welcome.
Regarding logo design, the classier, the better. I am not familiar with all of the file formats so I will need it available in all extensions that are necessary for reproduction on websites, brochures, cards and other printed materials.
The logo needs to be scalable so we can shrink to fit on letter head and other materials
