Public Online School needs a logo to launch students to success!

This is a logo for an online school. We want something youthful, possibly collegiate that would appeal to young, vibrant learners (High school age). We want something clean and trendy that relays a technology-based educational setting. The primary target for this school is students who are currently home-schooled or are wanting a smaller environment that is self-paced. We want this to be a school of choice. It is a public school.

We want something that is easily reproducable via copiers and looks good in color and black and white (grayscale). We have been talking about something collegiate, possibly a shield or emblem. We don't want to have a mascot. Mission: To empower students to reach their academic goals by offering academic, physical and social support while preparing students for life's transitions. Tagline (too wordy but the gist may be something you can use). Providing the education needed to get you whwer you want to go and prepare you for a world yet to be imagines.
