BrandsFormed did a great job - they actually read our brief and delivered a winning logo.
How victin started their logo design journey
Teveren is a new start-up launching in 2011. We focus on making web-based software for small to medium sized businesses. We are a group of experienced web developers and security experts looking to market software to businesses. Our company culture is more corporate than most start-ups.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We want to convey a professional image as our customers will trust us with securing and transmitting their sensitive information. Our desired audience will not be looking for a hip and cool brand, they will be wanting to do business with a company that takes themselves seriously. Our customers will be law firms, accounting firms, insurance companies, and similar industries with sensitive data.
We want the designer to be creative in the realm of corporate branding. I will be giving lots of feedback and will check this website often for submissions and comments. We only have a few requirements:
Our #1 requirement is for the letters of our brand name Teveren to be clearly readable. I believe it takes a large amount of creativity and genius to make a simple and professional brand. We are not looking for anything cluttered or complex. The choice of font, color and capitalization is up to the designer. We have a slogan, "Secure Solutions", which you are welcome to use in the logo if it fits well. If the slogan does not work well in the design, you are also free to remove it. The design of the actual letters in t-e-v-e-r-e-n in the logo will be one of our key factors in the decision.
We are a security focused technology company, but the logo does not need to include any traditional symbols like shields or locks. We want a brand that is unique to our business that conveys our professionalism. We aren't big fans of modifying a T for the symbol, unless it is done very well of course.
The designs I will typically rate the highest will be ones where the viewer's focus is on the letters of the word Teveren. If you include a graphic, it should not be huge and the center of attention. Just another reminder that the changes to the actual letters themselves in Teveren should be subtle so the characters remain readable.
We would like for the logo to be able to work on a light and a dark background.
