How ji.m1318 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Fin Notes or Finnotes (not sure if 2 words or 1 word is better)
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The logo is for a new website - Finnotes.org. This is short for "Finance Notes".
The site is a a Cheat Sheet that helps people learn about the world of Investments. FinNotes organizes the vast world of investing into a single source and provides a comprehensive framework for expanding investing knowledge. It's a place to learn about investing. It's kind of like wikipedia, but focused entirely on investing.
Please note that the site is incomplete and very basic right now. I plan to run a separate design contents to make it look like a modern web app. Right now it mostly has dummy data and is is extremely dull/boring/basic - don't look at the current design of the site. I only gave the link to you so that you can click around and understand the content. Two pages that are good to look at follow: these might help you better understand what the site will be about.
The final site will be modern, professional, and clean.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
For colors I generally like blues, grays, greens.
I plan to use the logo in 2 places. As such, the logo should probably be more horizontal and not very tall.
1) In the upper left hand corner of every web page
2) On the top of the main page - in the current text-based intro section
I am also not sure if the logo should be one word (Finnotes) or 2 words (Fin Notes). Feel free to be creative and try different options.
I have not thought much about logos (that's why I'm here), but an aggressive animal with an actual fin could be good to incorporate - like a shark. This is definitely not required - I'm looking forward to other create ideas you might have.
