"JAMES GILL", perhaps initials "JG", or "JAMES GILL PROFESSIONAL HAIR", I love the font name "Georgiquas" but have NOT purchased the rights to use the font commercially
"PROFESSIONAL HAIR", "BELIEVE".
I am in need of a professional, simplistic yet clever, memorable, powerful, bold, attractive, classic yet modern logo capable of being timeless, not trendy.
Target audience:
Early 20's-mid 60's, female and male, fashion aware, people who can afford my prices, appreciate the education, knowledge and value of my art.
I specialize in healthy dimensional hair color, modern classic designs, and bespoke signature finishes.
I believe in advanced education, continued training with emphasis on perfect practice, and strive to be the best at what I do.
I am trained by the industry's best and have passion for what I do.
I want my logo and brand to reflect my talents, education, capabilities, signature color techniques, design repertoire and confidence.
I want to be known as reputable, bold, artistic, aware, classic yet modern, innovative, creative, dimensional, knowledgeable, educated and successful.
I envision something bold but not obnoxiously loud. Simple but clever. Modern yet classic. A balanced masculine and feminine effect. Powerful, clean, simple, elegant, modern, clever, and legible.
My personal style is progressive, modern, eclectic, clean with emphasis on purposeful modern-luxury-comfort-style. I love shade on shade white, gives depth and dimension.
I love the use of black and white, to creative visual interest and texture. I think putting black as a solid background with white bold font makes the words jump and can actually make things appear to "glow" to the eye. I also think a stark white background with bold black fonts looks great. It is simple, clean, elegant.
I have wondered about the use of color, as I love color but know color can be very personal to others and evoke unsolicited emotions or reactions not intending to in others. Color is visible and can be tricky.
I envision a black background with bold, modern, simple, font in white creating the effect of the words jumping off the card, visually apparent and glowing. Like a really expensive restaurant with a sign that you cant miss because the name is in bright white on black background, simple, bold, modern but not futuristic, powerful, clever, elegant, and draws the eye making it unforgetable. Perhaps layering black and white in order to where the font will be in white.
I see balance and chic.
Clean, modern, professional, legible, structured.
I love logos that have depth in texture, 3-D effect almost while reflecting the meaning of the company and/or product. The new Apple Logo is very cool and I have included in the pictures. It is almost 3-D and appears to be shining.
Use of color to create depth is amazing too. In professional hair design and dimensional hair color, shapes, texture, movement, are all important and can be created.
I have always been intrigued by the FEDEX logo and the story behind it. The use of negative space and simplistic yet amazing effect it has had on the success of the branding is fascinating and truly meaningful.
I appreciate the trends in business design, but realize trends come and go and not sure if having something "trendy" is advisable for me. Having said that, I like creative modern design and sometimes current trends are important in design. I do like red as accent color, the primary color of blue and the popular blue that is almost 80's, the shade of masculine/florescent purple, and the neo bold yellow and the primary color shade of yellow.
I do not care for clutter.
I do not care for any fonts that are swirly, old-world calligraphy, script, or penmanship style.
