We sell intricately designed, hand made PopCakes (otherwise known as cake pops) in modern and novelty designs both retail and wholesale. PopCakes are delicious balls of cake on sticks dipped in tasty coloured chocolate.
Logo types to explore
This is a young, hip and modern product, brand new to our market and relatively new to our expected expansion markets. The word "PopCakes" will be synominous with the product so the word is the most important thing, the words "of Canberra" are secondary and will also be changed as we expand to other cities (eg: "of Sydney). The logo needs to be clear and really 'Pop".We want to attract teenagers, children and adults alike. As a wholesaler we don't want anything too childlike as we will also be dealing directly with large corporations. Modern and bold but cute and fun. In the cake and baking industry pink and hot pink are the colours everyone is using and are hard to get away from as audiences associate pink with cake. We have a local competitor with the majority market share who uses hot pink in their brand so finding a point of difference while not pushing too far away from "baking" in people's mind would be a bonus. We are, however, happy to use pink if that is what works. Our product is priced and aimed for the middle income market - busy parents who work and don't have time to bake, teenagers wanting something new and cool, young women in corporations who like the freedom of guilt from eating a cake that is so small. We are an affordable but quality product. We really like the idea of a stylized PopCake being incorporated into the logo (as the P for example) as it's a new product and customers might need a hint as to what this is! Be daring, we are open minded to new angles and ideas.
