To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The story behind the practice name comes from my (owner's) childhood. As one of three brothers, there were associated traits that differentiated us. One of mine was blue, a shade of royal blue that seemed to run deeper than just a favorite color. It went for the typical things like socks, shirts and sheets, but this story comes from our trips to amusement parks. I would wait for the blue boat (or car or plane) on the rides. I let other riders go ahead of me while I waited for blue. When I look back on that scene, I realize I was just being me, standing up for what I wanted. And the blue boat is a symbol of being your authentic self, which is what I work to help my clients find. So I decided there was no better symbol for my practice than this one of authenticity and freedom to be your true self. And so Blue Boat Counseling it is, and I can't wait to see how you can help me make it come to life through logo design!
I put the industry as "Medical & Pharmaceutical" because it is the most accurate, but I think that category has a sterile/clinical connotation to it. This is NOT what I want for this logo/brand. Apologies for the lack of design terms, but I want it to feel cool/modern/"craft" and unique for the counseling world. The boat should be a row boat or a kiddie ride type of boat, but not ‘cartoony’ or childish. No speed boat, sail boat or yacht/ship, please. And also please do not put a person in the boat. It's probably pretty obvious at this point, but I am open to royal blue or even lighter shades in this family, but not navy or aqua. I have created this Pinterest board to give a feel for some more logo inspiration I like and an image of the kiddie boats from the 1970s, but please see it as just a guide and feel free to be creative: https://www.pinterest.com/cls22/practice/
