PIVOT's vision statement: "Patients, families, caregivers and researchers accelerating innovative approaches to re-define cancer research together!" PIVOT is a developing initiative of the University of Kansas Cancer Center to promote meaningful partnerships between patient advocates and researchers so that research is more meaningful to patients. Patient research advocates include anyone in our region with a lived cancer experience, including patients and family/friend caregivers. They will bring their lived experience and a collective patient perspective to all stages of the research process. Our guiding principles include trust, partnership and transparency among all groups.

It will most often appear next to the University of Kansas Cancer Center logo, which uses Trajan Pro font, Pantone 289 and white as primary colors, and Pantone 653 as a secondary color (secondary color not shown). As an example, the MCA logo below was created to fit in with the University of Kansas Cancer Center logo.
