We are starting up as a private GP doctors clinic in Birmingham, UK. We want to attract a wide range of clients / patients - male and females, young and older people as well as families with children. Though will most definitely be from a professional or working population as it is a fee paying clinic. We anticipate those who will want to use our service are those who are looking for an excellent quality service, doctors who are great, prices which are accessible, fast access to appointments - so mostly busy professionals and self employed people. Also, one of our key aims is to give people choice, options and flexibility. This could be by being able to book appointments which are more convenient around their working schedule, or they want a second opinion or they want longer than the standard NHS 10 minute appointment.
In our statement of purpose, we have identified the following (much of which is already written above):
Unfortunately, due to the current situation in the NHS, the needs of many patients are not being met. This is true for General Practice, as well as Hospitals.
This is due to a combination of factors, including not enough government funding, inappropriate use of services by patients, growing patient demand / expectation and staff (Doctors and Nurses) leaving the NHS due to the stressful environment.
This has led to NHS General Practice being a very stressful environment. Unfortunately, patients and staff are both quite dissatisfied.
Your GP Circle aims to provide a better alternative for patients to help them be in more control of their health and improve their overall patient journey.
Our key ethos and objective is to provide an amazing patient experience and to alleviate the difficulties that patients currently experience in NHS General Practice.
Our key aims:
Easy access and appointment booking (telephone or online)
Convenient timings (including evenings and weekends)
Patients encounter a pleasant environment and a happy helpful team
Longer appointments so patients are not rushed (15 minute or 30 minute options)
Patient-centred consultations and management plans
Promoting and encouraging patients to take control of their health
Shorter waiting times to access Consultants and diagnostics (MRI scan etc)
Continuous patient education through social media, emails, events
