How Jeff Cory started their logo design journey
Advanced Pediatrics is the new incarnation of a pediatric practice that has been in existance for many years. The Pediatric Physician who owns the practice wants to reach out with a bright, modern, fun, and exciting new look. They are creating everything from scratch: from a brand new location to a kick-ass new website. All elements are colorful, kid-friendly, and attractive. The culture is warm and family-centric... it's a great place to walk into - even though you DO go there when you are not well!
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The practice services kids from birth to 18 years old - all ethnics, all socio-economic levels. They are looking to pass on their new look to both their existing patients as well as to attact a new patient base. Although, being a medical service, they of course target the parents (usually the mother) - nevertheless the look is, and should be very KID friendly.
We want to have a new logo for the practice - - a combination of illustrative icon plus text (Advanced Pediatrics). COLORS: Use any colors you want but note that (1) the doctor does NOT like brown; and (2) he loves strong, bright colors. We're open to the use of "people" icons, and/or kid-illustrative images - as long as the look is young and fresh. FONTS: Use any font you want as long as the font is not too "corporate" - this is not a lawyers office - it's a children's medical practice. Of course the font must be easily readable and should not be too frivolous.
Bear in mind that the logo needs to reproduce fairly "small" for the website - as well as translate reasonably into black and white.
As an end result we will require a print file format and a web file format - vector as well as layered PhotoShop files - many thanks!
