nowpc got their new logo design by running a design contest:
PC technology site needs new logo
Check out nowpc's Logo design contest…
We're looking for a logo that is clean and professional, reflecting the educational content. However, we don't want to stop a design having some flair! If your logo design can suggest authority and learning and still make students want to stay, then you're on to exactly what we want!
What's your vision?
Tagline: what we learn, we share Desired Color Scheme: Predominantly cooler range, with warm effects Desired Style: Professional, imaginative, bold Accepted File Formats: Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai) pctechguide.com is a long running and well respected PC technology educational site. Many of the visitors are students, but others include IT professionals, hobbyists, and interested consumers. We're looking for a complete, fresh new look for the site, starting with a new logo. The rest of the site redesign will follow, using the logo as a basis, and through a competition here on Sitepoint. The logo should ideally balance a professional, educational feel, but without being cold or austere. We want something modern that suggest technology, but steering away from a "gamer" feel. It'd be great if there were an image that somehow tied together the concepts of "PC technology" and "guide". If the image could be further themed across the site, fantastic! Colours may be better in the cooler range, but with added warmer touches. Finally, let your imagination run wild, because we'd be delighted to have something a little bit different!
