An outstanding logo for a web start-up company

I am starting this new presence and will be establishing myself as the #1 online resource information center. The contents include updated news/coupon information from several different vendors/companies/restaurants/agencies…etc. Users can sign up for an account to subscribe and manage these informations. Users can also publish any news from their own organization through their account. Anyone visiting this website can also write reviews or comments under each news.

Anyone searching for coupons, recent items on sale, or latest news/updates before anyone purchase anything online

Updated 04/11:
1) The name PortalMan needs to be clear, I am going to put this on business card too so anything that does not fit in business card will also not be a good choice either.
(2) It is not necessary to have a man/person in the logo since this may increase the level of complication if you do not play it well.
(3) Try to distinguish Portal and Man - either through color or playing around the logo design
(4) Use white or grey gradient background

We want a logo with a transparent background ~ which will be printed on our letterheads and business cards.

The logo should include the word "portalman" and no slogan in it.

A logo which plays on the lettering in company name is a possibility, although certainly not obligatory.

The typography should be friendly but perhaps lean towards a tech look (professional - ish). If possible please try to go for simple and clean look.

The big idea we are trying to convey is that we provides information in multiple different field and people will want to come to search for information. Later on they can possibly create an account and manage information their way.
