Christmas all Year
This is my first project with 99 designs. I am the coordinator for this project I have a semi creative background with experience in marketing, in recent years I have had a strong focus on digital media, particularly SEM.
This is potentially the first project of many more to come as I am NOT the hands on type person. I like to coordinate and manage
Geographic target market - Australia
Demographic - all types, young to old
Competition analysis - has somewhat of a "cheap/dodgy" look which is not good for consumer/browser confidence. Client is looking to establish market share for medium to premium Christmas products
Client - will be focusing initially on developing market share, their products are superior to competition and will be starting at competitive prices. They will be getting a full e commerce solution
Personality trait of client - old in age 60+ yet broad minded and susceptible to change. Both are very nice and warming people (husband and wife). Wife is somewhat more traditional than husband, they are both the decision makers. I will try and minimise decision making process on concepts. Once committed they are committed, so earlier designs maybe a better option, see requirements.
Name: Christmas All Year
Colours: 2 or 3 colours accepted, primary colours - red and white (shades are acceptable) and one other of choice; client made mention of alternate green (not traditional) and a champagne yellow, but am open to suggestions
Font: Easy to read, keep in mind that it is an online business and will be attracting "Chris-a-holics" so I feel a traditional, clean, easy to read font would be best.
Logo: logo or coat of arms needs to be compatible for a fav.ico, happy for logo and business name to be together but would prefer them to be separated.
Key Product: Their key product will definitely be Christmas Lights, followed by christmas decorations. Happy for either to be included in logo design preferably Christmas Lights.
Other marketing collateral: The website (key business vehicle) will be designed around the logo, I cant stress enough that this is an online business. Please keep this in mind.
Client Dislikes: I asked and tried to get out of them on things they don't like, colours etc however they seemed fairly susceptible to seeing what different ideas the designers come back with. I understand this can be a designers nightmare but it could also be a dream. I have worked with them in the past and can assure you they will be responsive and open to ideas based on your creative ideas. I feel if you stick to the guidelines, everything should be fine.
