How Rycmoore started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
"Pheasant" or "Pheasant Energy"
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are an upstream oil and gas acquisition firm. The name of our company is Pheasant Energy. We are a family office that operates like a publicly traded financial firm.
Important points for the refresh of the logo:
- The logo should incorporate a pheasant (could be the entire bird, could be the tail feather, head, etc.
- The logo should incorporate an element of oil and gas (an oil derrick, pumpjack, oild drop, etc.)
- The symbol in the logo should be able to used independently of the full logo that would include the company name. (Icons, etc.)
- Colors should fall in line with the current logo (with slight variations for effect)
--- Primary orange color is #ba6d19
--- Secondary orange color is #a86115
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
This is a refresh for our current logo. We are looking to create new signage and need something simple yet effective. Nothing too Web 2.0. Think in terms of corporate logo not anything too playful like a startup.
I am attaching the current logo as well as one we have for a separate fund we are working on (we really like the outcome of the Makaira logo). I also encourage you to visit http://www.pheasantenergy.com to learn more about the company and see where the logo will sit upon completion here.
