HumbleLamb got their new logo design by running a design contest:
"NKJV - Shepherd" Logo for an upcoming Bible.

We are a premium Bible publisher, focusing on only top quality, hand-crafted leather Bibles. As oppose to 99% of publishers, we are a young company, run by young adults. We are naming this New King James Bible translation "Shepherd" after the Bible verse where Jesus says: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep." John 10:11 "Shepherd" is a representation of Christ. So the logo must feel exalted, holy, dignified, powerful yet humble and loving. The logo must look good in black and white, and embossed on leather (too intricate designs usually don't look good embossed). I look forward to seeing your designs!
I’m interested in a combination of abstract and pictorial logos with not too many intricate details.
