Newport Coast Preschool is an elite private preschool in Newport Beach. We offer children 2.5 - 5 years old a dynamic and engaging early education. Our teachers carefully balance developmentally appropriate, hands-on activities together with structured curriculum goals to ensure that each student builds a strong foundation of skills to be successful in Kindergarten and beyond. We want new families to feel warmth and welcome, but also that this is the place to send your kids to preschool if you want them to have the best preschool experience.
Other color requirements
Pantone 326C, 324C, 425C, 403C, Cool Gray 2C, White
We are launching a new website soon, hopefully early 2016. Please don’t judge us on the appearance of our current site: newportcoastpreschool.com One site that we really love is turtlerockpreschool.com We have also realized that our current logo is all wrong for the preschool. It is dated, abstract and frankly a little weird. (In case it's hard to see on the website: it's two children, one bending down to sniff a flower and the other reaching up to touch a butterfly.) We are looking for something more scholarly, timeless and clean. Originally, we thought two things: 1) let's use a crest with some pictures of "preschool" or "Newport" things and 2) as a nod to our history and the old logo, we could perhaps incorporate a butterfly in the new logo (we like the idea of the metamorphosis of the butterfly relating to the growth and development of preschoolers too) but we quickly realized that 1) a crest looks dated and too stuffy for us (see pacificshoresdayschool.com) and butterflies were seeming to "cartoonish" (see the turtle on turtlerockpreschool.com) than the reputation that we are trying to portray. We do like the look of an emblem logo (see sanclementepreschool.com), but when we reached out to some designers to put an emblem together for us, this the best we got: (see NCCDP Logo - emblem) It just misses the mark…Colors are wrong, hard to see details when it's printed small, and too cartoonish. So, our latest thought is that we want a text logo with the entire company name, plus a simple round or square logo that incorporates the anagram so it's easy to see no matter what size it is. Sometimes (letterhead, website header), we would use both together. Other times (signs around school, emails, etc…) we would just use one or the other. We're going to leave the tagline off our logo. I can do the text part: (see Text Logo - Gray & Blue) I used the font Bell MT, our owner really likes the look of a clean serif font as it goes with the styling of the Newport Coast community and neighborhoods. But the logo is outside my capabilities. We have two ideas: 1) see NCCDP - square and NCCDPreschool - square This would incorporate just the anagram, but in square form; again, using Bell MT. The second one looks better, but we think it will look weird if the logo says "preschool", and then the text logo says "preschool" again when we use the two together… Any fine-tuning or styling ideas for this one? 2)see NCCDP - Bell MT wave and NCCDP - square wave This is the anagram in Bell MT, but with a little "wave" since we're Newport Coast. Our owner prefers a square logo because our name is so long and the text logo is rectangular, so the two wouldn't balance each other when used together, but I think it looks cooler. This is where I really need your help though, because the wave that I did doesn't look anything like water! Could you do these two with liquid-looking waves coming out of the C's? Or maybe curling into the C's? Our info is: Company name: Newport Coast Child Development Preschool Anagram: NCCDP Nickname: Newport Coast Preschool Color scheme: see website color scheme attached I just reread everything above, and I'm so sorry….! I have all these ideas in my head, and I just hope I'm explaining myself clearly. We are very excited to re-brand and have a logo that really represents NCCDP :-)
