courtney.robertson got their new logo design by running a design contest:
National Project - Awesome for your Portfolio! (only temporarily private)
Check out courtney.robertson's Logo design contest…
UPDATE: many of the designs that we are getting are featuring a beautiful maple leaf alone. This is clearly capturing the "Canada" aspect of the design, however there are many, many logos in Canada that feature a maple leaf, so these will blend into the crowd. Also, this does not include the very important elements of "biodiversity (plants, animals, ecosystems...)", "land and water" and "Indigenous" that we would also like to include. We understand that simple is best, and a clean, easily distinguishable logo is what were looking for, but it also needs to represent the project specifically. We are also open to designs that capture the imagery of the "Pathway" that is part of the project's name "Pathway to Canada Target 1". A few visuals that may work are: - a pathway leading to elements that represent biodiversity - a compass with element representing biodiversity (this project is about providing guidance on how to meet the stated goal) -...? I'll post any others that we think of, but please feel free to get creative! Please note: This contest is private right now as the announcement for the project has not yet happened been made. Once the announcement has been made, we will remove the privacy condition and the designer will be able to add this project to their portfolio. This logo will be used on a website and promotional material for a national project called Pathway to Canada Target 1. In response to Aichi Target 11, an international target under the Convention on Biological Diversity, governments in Canada developed and committed to Canada Target 1, which is to collectively protect at least 17% of Canada’s landmass and freshwater by the year 2020 through networks of conservation areas. The objective of the Pathway to Canada Target 1 project is to encourage all governments, private land owners, Indigenous groups, and non-governmental groups to contribute to achieving this target. This will be a public website; the majority of visitors will likely have some interest or background in conservation and/or protected areas. Key words: • Biological diversity • Land and freshwater • Protected areas • Networks of connected conservation areas • Nature • Target • Canada-wide • Indigenous peoples • Humans connected to the land • Collaboration
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Greens: Growth, harmony and success. Let designers make suggestions: Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
