MYSTERY themed logo for AALC Supportive Living Week 2012

Each year, Affordable Assisted Living Coalition (AALC) hosts a series of promotional activities to advance Illinois’ Supportive Living Program as the premier affordable assisted living model in the country. Our residents include seniors 65+ and persons with physical disabilities. We are looking for a SL Week logo that fits our 2012 theme.

UPDATE as of 7/25: To all designers: As we come into the final hours on the contest, please note that the winning entry will need to have the words "Taking the Mystery Out of Supportive Living" and "Supportive Living Week 2012". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We're looking for a mystery themed design that goes along with our 2012 theme "Taking the Mystery Out of Affordable Assisted Living". We're thinking the design could havea graphic like a magnifying glass, fingerprint, or something creative like that. AALC (Affordable Assisted Living Coalition, www.aalconline.org, believes every person who needs it, regardless of income, deserves high quality assisted living. Supportive living arrangements only work when four critical elements are included: Care, Community, Comfort and Cost. Our theme for 2012 is “AALC… Taking the Mystery Out of Supportive Living”. The design we are seeking will be used on all materials promoting the event. The winning design will be: • reflective of the mystery theme • primarily focused on the words 2012 Supportive Living Week, but if at all possible will also reference AALC as the organization that puts on the event • fun and trendy that will make people want to buy fundraising merchandise because the event design is really cool • appealing to seniors, supportive living staff, legislators, media and the public The mystery theme will be used throughout promotional activities that happen in 128 supportive living facilities across the State of Illinois during that week, as well as for a number of events that are hosted in the capital city of Springfield for senior residents. Planned activities for 2012 include: • Mystery dinners & mystery-themed games at supportive living facilities around the state • An annual visit to the State Capitol where we have always been able to meet with the Governor and our Legislators • Our third annual Wii Bowling tournament, broadcast live via a Web feed so that seniors back home can see their finalists compete • A “SLF’s Have Talent” video and live performance art competition • An evening gala where the seniors can gather, enjoy local musical talent and dancing We look forward to building an ongoing relationship with the winning designer.
