Unite Now
Serving a global community of individuals and organizations who desire to make a greater impact on the world around them, UniteNow.Org provides an innovative approach to advocacy and activism by providing an online venue to help groups gather and create positive action.
As a result of our extensive work in the development and production of human aerial art installations over the past 15 years, we have seen a consistent need for a consolidated and centralized set of resources to empower the mobilization process, especially for organizations with multiple locations.
Human rights, the environment, world hunger, the depletion of our natural resources, disease, and the daily extinction of plant and animal species are just a few of many life-threatening issues that concern billions of people throughout our world today. Organizations such as Greenpeace, Amnesty International, World Wildlife Fund and others are fighting for each of these issues every day. However, the average person has no idea where to go and how to best get involved with these organizations. We have a centralized destination to where you can link to all these organizations.

There are two distinct audience segments...
Event Organizers - these could be large non-profits (such as Amnesty International) or small community-based action groups (such as your local food bank).
Event Participants - these are the individuals that are passionate about an issue and join events -- both in the real-world and on the Unite Now site.
To better understand the types of advocacy events that Unite Now has been involved with, designers are encouraged to visit http://www.unitenow.org. This simple site contains examples of the epic events that Unite Now's team members have produced.
This site represents only the impression of the larger multimedia social network that will be built. However, the images of advocacy are indicative of the powerful emotions that the site hopes to harness and spread.
Although it is presently only in draft form, the logo that is presently on the site illustrates several important requirements:
- the brand must convey sincerity, activism and unity
- while the logo should be powerful and meaningful, it should not overwhelm the power of the event imagery
- logo should be usable in every medium possible, including online, video, print and promotional items
Beyond these requirements, the brand is open to interpretation.
It is worth noting that some preference may be given to a design that features the combined "un" icon, as is presently seen in draft form on the site. The idea here is to feature the initials of the brand (U and N) and to represent a coming together... unity in action/advocacy.
