Jans provided a very simple and bold design and I was very satisfied with the collaboration between us during the finalizing of the logo. I am very happy with this design and would recommend Jans for his creative ability and prompt responses to my feedback.
From the first day that you submitted your design, I LOVED IT! No one could do better. You caught the "expensive" look that I wanted. Thank you SO much!
How jeffiv started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We build PhotoKiosks that provide exceptional digital photography for corporate events, weddings, and parties.
We seek to add a bit of robotics and automation to our systems and think of our kiosks as half evil robot and would possibly like to incorporate that into the logo.
Think photo kiosk mixed with sarcastic (slightly scary, maybe flirty) robot/ai fallen angel dj dance party host and your close. On the robot end think way more ominous HAL9000/GlaDOS than Iron Giant/“Danger will Robinson”. If going this direction it should look still like a kiosk, not a humanoid with arms and legs.
We are going for a modern, clean and slightly playful (but not corny or clipart-like) vector logo that will work well at all sizes.
You are welcome but definitely not required to play on the “Drop” part of our name. (Parachuting in maybe, Halo?, etc)
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
No bright green/blue combinations please. If you can use red to convey some of the ominous robot vibe please do. We are also open to your choice of colors if it works better.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We like the clean lines and how threatening a creature the cat is. Really captured the violent in that zen.
Love the playful energy and clean design.
Love the simple use of geometry and the amount of depth in the design.
Great use of minimal tones and clean vector feel.
Love the typography here. We would like to see "drop" and "booth" differently accented by bold or color if possible.
We love the vector shading on this and the sense that the factory is really working. Smoke and perspective are fantastic.
The simplicity of tool combination here is really creative. Love the simple use of vector.
Just a simple letter-mark can work when done right and we are open to see submissions in that vein.
Simple, clean combination of both brand name words into the logo design.
-If attempting a robot-like logo please do not use robot "arms" or a "head" separate from the body. (A face or an eye can be conveyed on something kiosk like and the use of legs are OK.)
-If the dropbooth name is used please style one side of the word differently from the other. (So either drop or booth bold but not both for instance.)
-If you can use red (even subtly) to convey some of the ominous vibe that is a plus. Nothing says evil robot like red. (HAL9000/Maximillian/Cylons/Omnidroid/Terminator all get it done with red.)
-Please stay away from bright green/blue combinations.
-We have attached a couple of images of one of our kiosks and some fun evil robot/ai reference images.
