I am a Company Director of Melbourne Netball Pty Ltd. Having run social netball competitions successfully for 15 years I am now branching out into a new netball communication area online. This is 'not basketball' and is the most popular sport played in Australia and New Zealand.
I love creativity and are passionate about placing it into this sporting area of my life with vigor and humor. I am a contrarian by nature and place it into everything I do.
If you love a great belly laugh then this project is right up your alley.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience is very broad. It will be aimed at the very young...boys and girls from 10 years old to teenagers and then adults up to around 50 years of age. These people will have either played netball as a participant in their lives, or been a trainer/coach/umpire with a lot more knowledge of the sport. They might also be a parent to someone playing the sport.
This picture will be used as a trade mark for the name "Miss Netball". It needs to include the name above the picture saying" Miss Netball" possibly in a font that is easy to read but has character or humour perhaps looking like the name arrives above her head with speed.
This should scream humor. I would like a cartoon type action figure that is not a capable sporting girl. I would like her to be a misfit who is passionate about sport but not good at it no matter how much she tried but doesn't know that she's not great. She is passionate. But she is super capable and can juggle any number of things at the same time. eg: Nurturing/Intelligent/Strong willed/humorous/multi-tasking at great speed/opinionated/
She is a "klutz". She can barely catch or throw a ball but she knows her netball rule book inside out. She knows how to coach because she knows all about each playing position. She is always wearing band-aids and a bandage on a limb because she is always injured on each game she plays
"Heroine: A woman of distinguished courage or ability, admired for her brave deeds and noble qualities."
SO...no perfect body look in this figure...bring in the curves...let her look like a girl from the Glee club with that slight nerd factor. I would also like to see a possible netball pole above her head that looks like a halo angel type of look. This is not essential however.
